My original interest and ambitions came from an early age, I had only a vague idea of what I wanted to do until late secondary school years, but I was always very passionate about computers, games and anything which assured creativity. Creativity came from my interest in new ideas, thinking of improvements and just being testing through curiosity and thought provoking out of interest. I had only really saw career prospects from this when I was taking Graphics and IT, combining computing and creativity… I could be a graphic designer, software engineer, or game designer. But with the addition of English Language later on, I garnered a new interest in writing.
Now, I’m at university in Southampton studying a Games Development course and writing part-time, with any spare time I have I’m either writing feature articles, writing GDD’s or – when time allows it – playing games. On one side I have career ambitions in Games Design; actually thinking of these great and innovative ideas and putting them to use. And on the other side Game Journalism, another form of creativity, creativity through expression of written language.
This blog will give you a focused insight into some my written work from my ambitions in Game Journalism, and a little sprinkle of my interests in Game Design.
