I welcome you into my all new notorious, accident prone game world of
Unlucky Fred is the perfect arcade amalgamation of franticly paced action, relatable humour, and contextually cued gameplay that is aimed at the core and casual gamer alike.
Taking the classic 3rd person, side-scrolling perspective but encased in a modern 3 dimensional world, this game is looking to familiarise players with the pick-up and play controls of the early nineties and fuse it with the stylised graphics of the current century.
You play as Fred, a reputably unlucky individual who gets caught up in the must unlikely of disastrous situations. After a brief setup scenario of Fred working an everyday shift something goes catastrophically wrong, and with the whole place falling around his feet he must quickly escape.
With a appreciatively mocking nod at the generic Hollywood action movie, Unlucky Fred will be battling his way out of caving mines, capsizing ships, and off of crumbling bridges to find that perfect place of peace.

‘Unlucky Fred’ Cruise level prototype video
A little something I have been working on. This is me playing around with mechanics so all models and animations are mostly placeholders at the moment, but this is the structure and pacing in play. Stay tuned!

Unity 3D Project ‘Capital Ship Defenders’
I’m in the process of teaching myself C# through Unity to make my own diverting 2D arcade game currently called Capital Ship Defenders.
I have yet to write the concept document for this game, but the idea is to turn the simple, single ship, side scrolling arcade game on its head by replacing the small ship with a humongous one. And instead of one small gun, having several, all functioning by their own buttons making the game less about evasion and more about coordination and precision.
Imagine shooting multiple lasers, phasers, shock waves all at once at pitiful enemies, and for once feeling like the pursuer instead of the pursued. This is the kind of game I’m aiming for and I’m exciting in making this idea a reality… a virtual reality.
