History of work experience

What Culture

A website with indicators in its title, following current Film, TV shows, Games, Sport and Comics and providing news, reviews, previews and features for every single one of them. This is a website all about putting all eggs in one basket, it’s a website about looking at the big picture, ambitious yet privileged with these aims, it’s a website about culture.

As a news team member and reviewer for the gaming side of things you’ll now be seeing content from me in all shapes and forms; meaning for every platform excluding any pre-judgements of fanboyism  (except those pointless, inferior hand-held consoles, meh).

msxboxlogo

A website which has expanded in the last year or so now, and is still expanding rapidly. Our viewer base has grown due to our work extensions. Not only do we provide insights via reviews, previews and Q&A’s but we now give our readers interesting and well developed feature articles, guides and walkthroughs. And although it’s an Xbox focused website, we do feature many articles upon the gaming industry as a whole.

I have written for msxbox-world since 2007 and as time has moved on it has become more of a humble daily endeavour instead of its original part-time career pursuit. And although this may give the impression of preserved traditional value, we’re always striving for innovation; a quality the game industry is well known for, and an essence we have always worked to keep up with.

Jagex Placement

Between 2009-2010 I had worked for the company Jagex as a placement in community support. The intention had been acquire an insight into the games industry, and having attended a number of seminars with Jagex developers, worked within my own set-up placement XNA team, and produced concept documents for the FunOrb teams, I have also learnt a great deal about game maintenance and breathing life into the most important aspect of any game, its audience.
